Japan is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit, so I couldn’t say no when All Nippon Airways invited me to Tokyo. I had never been to Japan and was excited for the opportunity to visit this beautiful country during the most famous time of year, cherry blossom season. Come along as I explore my 59th country.

While there are many iconic sights to see in Tokyo, my most memorable moments were made wandering through the city streets and parks. Tokyo is very different than other cities in Asia, everything is very crowded, but super organized at the same time. If you want to truly experience a city, you can’t be afraid to travel off the beaten path and connect with the locals.

Immersing myself in the local culture and cuisine made for an unforgettable trip.

There’s food everywhere, like everywhere else in Asia, but here the food is very stimulating to the eyes. I can honestly say I was overwhelmingly surprised how tasty the food was, everywhere surpassed the last place. I need to get back to Japan as soon as possible!
