Scott Eddy Returns to Bangkok
I love Bangkok and can’t get enough of this city. Having called it home for almost a decade I felt at ease but also a rush of excitement the moment I arrived. Its laid-back culture, gracious hospitality and incredible food puts it at the top of my list of favorite destinations.
Stepping off the plane, I was eager to rediscover this enchanted metropolis.
The combination of street art and ancient architecture in Bangkok prove that art comes in many different forms.
Always remember to stop and talk to the locals when traveling overseas. Wandering the streets, I’m reminded of why Thailand is called the ‘Land of Smiles.’ My favorite area to visit is Sukhumvit, which is also the main road in Bangkok. The area is easy to navigate and also has amazing street food, great shopping and a lot of nightlife. Watching a street vendor make this dish was mesmerizing—not to mention it tasted delicious.
I stopped by a food market and I was not disappointed. The shrimp and mussels at this food stand were huge and not to mention delicious!
